Default Oil psi drops low on heavy accel

So I noticed today on heavy acceleration my oil psi drops alot. It will sit around 40-50 and rise as I accelerate and when I hit about 4k at wot it starts to drop alot, looks to be around 20... I know the factory gauges arent accurate but there is still a drop is psi. I have about 2k on my oil. Well On the previous owners word, said 10w30 qstate was put in 100 miles ago and that was 2k from now. I am going to change the oil and filter to mobil 1 synthetic. I just am curious if this is because of to hard of accel and not having a HO oil pump of scraper or windage tray or bigger oil pan. I have bbk intake and throtle body. slp flopac, american racing headers and ORY. The car runs like a raped ape and makes no smoke or engine noise. I would just like to hear some feedback on the issue, or if it is an issue at all.

Try adding an extra 1/2 qt you may be pumping the pan dry

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, mine did the same thing. Within 5K I had .040 crank endplay and a trashed crank. Had to have a whole new motor. The whole time I was thinking maybe the pan is being sucked dry or it needs an oil change......turned out that that wasnt the problem. If you feel up to it check your crank endplay.

Fixed my problem. Changed my oil and there was only about 4.5 qts in there. Runs great. I was sucking the pan dry cause it was low. Btw today on the way to pick up oil the low oil light came on so I honestly felt better before I even changed it.

If you read my entire thread, I originally came to that conclusion too.
