Default Surely after almost two years its not true!

Yes it has been two almost two years since I sold my old car, but I'm back! I haven't been following the forum very close since I sold my car so I have had some catching up to do. I have to say alot has changed and these cars are really putting down some serious numbers. I have been looking at all the new cams that have came out since my departure and they are putting down big numbers over my old hotcam setup. What I can't beleive is that the mighty little hotcam is still king as far as sound?!? One of the first things I am going to do is put a cam in the SS but it has to have that choppy sound. I know sound doesn't directly relate to HP and I have read all about the "stealth cams" etc but thats just not my style I like the lope! So help a new old guy out and recommend some good lopey cams!!

Why don't you give that GM Grand Am Cup cam a try? Should lope like hell and put down great numbers!

If you want lope, put in one of those 230 intake duration cams. The reverse split cams make good peak power, lope pretty well, and don't sacrifice as much midrange torque.

Welcome back!

........either of those are really nice lope cams that put out good hp while still being easy to drive around. If you want more lope, look into the ASA, G5X2, etc stuff.

the Hot Cam sounds good, but there are many cams out there that will sound just as good/if not better and will make:

A) more HP
B) drive better

It's not really that rough as it won't idle below ~ 1200 RPM. Sounds pretty good to me.
