Comp Cams LS1 Rocker Arm Trunion Upgrade
Looking for feedback on this. I'm wondering if this would be a good upgrade for running heavy spring pressure like double springs.

I did it on mine and I don't have to worry about needle bearing ever falling out again. It's great and I highly recommend them. Plus I run double springs good to .670 lift with out problems.

did anyone have to modify the stock rocker bolts? My engine builder said he had to put an extra 1/4 inch threads on the stock bolts during assembly to make them work properly. Something about the way the trunion seats . Not tryin to hijack just an issue with the product I need answered and will shed light on your decisions of purchase.

I have some instructions somewhere that give you the dimensions on a jig so they press in the right distance. But many have used a vise and a few sockets on the sides to press them in. Problem with this is one small press to much you bend or dent the bearing housing and cause it to drag or bind when rotating. Have them done professionally or make the jig if you have the supplies it will save you in the long run.
Here is the link to the instructions at the bottom is the dimensions on the jig.

recommended upgrade
But if you do a search on here you will find threads where people are finding the tinny roller bearings in the oil pan. For the money and about an hours work it a good investment.

Yeah, I found a damaged rocker after heads cam. Took over a year, but it happened. Now I was going to upgrade to Yella Terra, but TSP told me not to bother and just save the cash and upgrade the trunions.

i havent yet found anyone who will ship a set of rockers already converted so will buy a kit and have a go.
