major fluid leak, looks like my car pissed itself!!!
so ever time i clean it up it keeps coming back. the flat cross member up front the holds the radiator is is always covered in power steering fluid. every other day i have to clean it off. but my power steering works fine when it is cold. it is only when it gets hot it starts to leak and make a huge mess. any ideas where this mystery leak could be?

You've got the pressure hoses, the rack, the return hoses and the PS cooler if you have one, pump and seals. Put it up on ramps and get under there (being carefull of moving parts) and see where it is dripping.

No offense but if you don't know how to get a rack out of the car you probably don't need to try to reseal one your asking for problems. The last time I priced a rack for a Fbody it was under $140 and that included new inner tie rods what ever you choose to do you will need an alignment when your done.

I replaced my rack and it was pretty easy and straight forward. The only problem I had was the drivers side bolt, there is only two bolts that hold/mount the rack to the crossmember. The bolt was put in from the rear to the front and to get it out I had to pull the motor mount bolt and jack raise the engine about an inch. That step isnt really a big deal so dont be afraid to do it.
Hope that helps.
