from what i have gathered, id leave it @ factory 6250 until you have the rod bolts swapped out. also if you have a cam that doesnt make power past 5800 theres no need to spin it higher .

01-02 you can set the limiter to 6700 and shift at 6500 and older then that you can set to 6500 and shift around 6200. If your on a stock cam I would leave the limiter. Here is my dyno runs on a stock cam. Look where it makes power. Shifting above that is just a waste of power.

You shouldn't shift right at peak power, you should shift a few hundred rpm after peak.
