I've seen one number here, it was roughly like 429rwhp. This was a cam only setup and he was running low 11's with the setup. I don't recall his name, maybe he will chime in. There are also a few G5X2 cam only cars running well also.

thats sounds awsome...429 with cam only...sittin in the low 11's. those numbers reflect a ton of heads/cam cars...well if this is true and hopefully he will chime in, looks like ill be going with that cam. thanks

Its an excellent choice. As said above, JS12 is making almost 430rwhp on stock heads. Seems like an AWESOME camshaft. Im not sure if I would want to drive it everyday, but Im sure someone with more personal experience than I will chime in and elaborate on that. I have heard it in person and it sure does hit a lick!!!! You will have to flycut your pistons though, thats the only downside, so the heads will have to come off for install.

To flycut the pistons with the motor in the car you will have to use the isky tool to make the cuts. I beleive TEA rents the tool and a head that already has the intake seats knocked out to use the tool. I would say the X3 would probably make about 20-30rwhp over the TR230, just from the dynos i have seen on this board. I do not beleive the TR230 needs flycutting unless your heads were going to be milled a good bit. The X3 cam is really making good torque this is whats swaying my decision towards this cam.

From what I heard the g5x3 doesn't need to have the pistons flycut when you're using stock heads, only when your heads have been milled. Anybody want to back that up?

Yes if you are using stock heads that have not been milled you do not have to cut the pistons

well i have bone stock internals...never been touched....so what your saying is i can run this cam with no worries of clearance problems on my stock heads? and most likely make around 430 hp? if so ..that would be so bad ***! does anyone know the specs on this camshaft or is that stuff that LG keeps to himself?

Just make sure to specify if it is going on a cam only car when you order it, and we will get you the right cam to you, with no flycutting necessary.
