Need Help with H/C Package
Im taking the engine and tranny out to upgrade the tranny and putting a new clutch and refresh my engine. So I was thinking of putting new Heads and cam while I got Everything out!!
Well my problem is I dunno what to get Im Really happy with this Cam ( 230/234 .613/.604 111+1 LSA) But I got a couple of bucks on the side for new heads and cam.
you can Say im between trickflow-PRC-ET heads but as I said I dunno what to get.
My Car is a Weekend car cruising and most of the time on the street racing and rarely on the strip ( you can say I want something MEAN and high HP/TQ)
(My mods in the Sig.)
Anyhelp will be appreciated.
Thank you,

Depends on your budget.
The new PRC heads (same ones on the record holding ms4 car) are a killer head for the price and will be what I go with when I have the money to upgrade from my current ported heads.
EDIT: You will easily see 470+Rwhp with that setup.. I would shoot for 475Rwhp and anything extra will be icing.

I was thinking between PRC 215s, PRC LS6 stage 2.5, TFS 215 CNC and the ET Heads 215s

Plenty of good heads out there, this is a budget choice. AFR, TFS, Edelbrock, All Pro, PRC, Dart (leave any out?) and then a whole slew of cnc'ed OEM heads.
AFR 205 would help with the low end and mid range of that cam and to be honest if this is just a 346 cid then it would be one of the better choices.
If I was saving money I might go to the PRC 5.3's.

The PRC Stage 2.5 LS6 heads is a good option on a budget.
If your thinking about spending a little bit more on a aftermarket casting then the PRC 215 heads have a lot of advantages over the other aftermarket castings. The PRC heads are stock rockers friendly, and ship with a .675" spring already installed. Most of the other brands require a spring upgrade to go past .600" lift. Combine the extra cost of the spring upgrade, and a set of $500 rockers & your could have almost purchased a Fast intake & PRC heads for the cost of the other aftermarket casting heads, spring upgrade, and rockers!

There just needs to be a 215 heads battle so a winner can be claimed as far as hp goes and then leave it up to the consumer to decide if they want to run a head that requires a set of YT's or HS's. TFS vs PRC vs AFR. It would kick *** to see all 3 heads tested on the same dyno, same day. Then the curves could be evaluated as to who makes the most low end, mid, and peak numbers.

Yes it was funny. I'll give you that much. I'd still like a real comparison. All done on the same car, same dyno, same day. Track performance and street driving are way different. Cars are totally setup different. My car will trap 130 if I can ever make it down the track in good air without breaking. Also can be driven from Michigan to Florida and expect 27 mpg roughly. Not sure some tweaked for the track PRC 215's would cut it.

Well.... First of all they don't make thr ETP's anymore so good luck there. Carey has started a new co. but I would have to search to find out the name. He made a great head though and I am still kicking my own *** for not getting a used set I had a chance to pick up fairly CHEAP. TFS and AFR are both topnotch and you will be happpy with either. Just search around and see what suits you best....
