you want to blow him too? dang swing from his nuts some more
a 228r cam would make more torque throughout the entire rpm band than a f14, and everybody knows torque is what wins races. but sense everyone on here has already talked u into an f14 have fun reving to 7k, nothing sounds as good as an ls screamin into the high rpms

wow....you're a tool
my cam is damn close to the F14...and i'm making great torque all across the board. i have no problem running 1500rpm in 6th gear...and i even have stock 3.42gears.
and i've never come close to 7000rpm....get your **** straight jackass.
on the dyno the Tv1 peaked at 6400rpm and was done by 6600. no need whatsoever to go higher.
a low 23x cam will not lose low end...you're still making more than stock.

my car dynoed at 400hp and 400ftlb with a 224r making more torque throughout the entire rpm band. and since when is 6600 not close to 7000? i believe some of u may be mentally retarded. and i actually was complimenting an ls motor going to 7k so maybe u people should go back to the third grade and learn to read also. 1nastyss maybe when u make more torque than a 228r u should start talking **** about those cams, probably not until then though

Find me someone with a 228r cam and ill drag their *** all up and down the street, i dont have to rev it to no damn 7k, but it does make power up to that, and if u ask me the F14 will **** all over a t2 cam which is basically the same specs, the F14 will and has proven to make more hp and tq than the t2 time and time again

i thought the f&f quote was funny.. but what im trying to say is if you want some numbers then you need to have all of the available bolt ons. Futral knows what he is doing and youre not going to make power with just a cam lid and cat back exhaust... buy all the supporting mods and if you have any sense you would have alan futral tune your f14 cam .. since its his cam and he's a great tuner.. imagine that. btw i dont know what supporting mods are on the car but "cam only" cars dont just have a cam.. just you everyone knows.

Thanks for the input but I don't think anyone on here believe's that 'cam-only' truely is 'cam-only' and I couldn't care less about numbers. Just because I don't post a mods list doesn't mean I'm throwing a cam in a stock motor. RPM of Garner, NC will be tuning my car. They're the best I've heard of and seen in NC. As mentioned above, Sammy (1nastyss) has the f14 in his cam-only setup with an RPM tune and runs 11.50's consistently full weight still rowing gears. Not being rude, but don't assume I don't have sense because I have my own tuner.

thats kool dude but im from the area where alan is and i know him and his cars.. i dont want to get in a pissing match with you so whatever. im just saying that if you want to make the car run give it what it needs. you people need to take your ******* panties out of a bunch. and i couldnt tell that no one cared about the numbers with all the numbers being posted and compared..

If the cam peaks at 6400 and your shifting 500 rpms or so over that in order to keep the next gear in your powerband....well, that's 6900 rpm. So when (thebrad) said "have fun revving to 7k", it actually made some sense. If you want the most out of that F14, you are gonna want to shift at 6800+ I'd think...no?

Ok, let me make a few corrections in this thread.
First, the f14 and TV2 have nothing in common. They are ground completely different from one another. the F14 is actually a reverse split grind at .200 if im not mistaken. Kinda like using an lsl lobe on the intake and an xer on the exhaust.
Second, I had 3.42's AND 4.10's with my f14 and both drove the same. GOOD TUNER.
Third, I did shift my car at 7k and LOVED it! Take the heads off and have them milled at least if you want to pick up even more power. I made 450 with my f14 and home ported heads with a little over 11:1 compression. plenty of torque down low.

whether you consider them completly different or not, they've proven very similar power levels.
considering every car and every dyno is different.
engine dyno under static conditons may prove otherwise, but i've never seen that comparison.

i have the f14 in my lq4 6.0 . ITs in my trans am and with a good tune the car drives great and idles absolutely perfect. no surge what so ever. Full weight of 3850 and on 17's all around i have been 11.59 at 122 on Nittos with a 6 spd
very mild ported heads of the 241 casting.

Damn what a pissing match! Ryan use to run a F14 so you better believe he can get the last hp out of it. Now I've read the whole post and nobodys saying what the LSA or how much the cams are advanced.
