which timing chain?

which timing chain? Im just purchased a cam package from a member and was seeing what single roller timing chain set you guys recommened. I need it to be adjusted to -2*. I believe the LS2 set will work? Also need a LS6 oil pump. Anyone know where there the cheapest at?
Yank makes an adjustable single roller I believe.

you can get the yank one that seems like a nice piece really cool that after you install the crank key all the adjustment is done on the cam gear...like right now I have to pull my crank gear to retard my new cam cause it is off...
you can actually install my cam straight up the clearance on the intake ptvc will be right around .072 with unmilled heads and stock mls gaskets...I retarded it 2* just to get a hair more clearance to around .086...so if you went with the yank set and went 1* retard it will put you right around .080 on the intake...or could go even more to 3* to gain even more...the exhaust had plently over .100 it was like .120ish
or just find a-4 -2 0 2 4 single roller...I can take some pictures of what I had to clearance if you want...
I remember seeing a good single roller adjustable on hardcore but can't remember the name...

Melling oil pumps have some problems with needing clearance for a double roller timing set.
We have the LS2 chain, the IWIS chain, the C5R chain, and the IRL chain. Listed in order of increasing price. Those are all single roller chains.

I have the JP double roller and the melling high volume pump and would advise everyone to stay away from that combo. I had to clearance the cover, pump housing, swap the hex head bolts for button heads, and make slightly thinner shims behind the pump to make it all work. If I was gonna do it again I would get a single roller and be done.

If you use the new gm thrust plate, they come with a counter sunk surface for the bolts. Then use the new gm counter sunk torx head screw to put in there, then you will not need to worry about it. The whole thing runs about $25 for the plate and bolts. ARP does not make bolts for this thrust plate yet (counter sunk), so you still have to use the GM ones.

that is the price for the plate and the bolts for ls1tech members. 1 plate and 4 bolts. i have them on hand ready to go.
A single is easier by any means, but sometimes people get the double roller. Better to use this plate and bolts than all the grinding/extra time spent.
