2500+ feet in altitude and 91 octane only. On e85 I was making 450 rwhp N/A. My buddy Matt made 620 with a stock LS1 (TA) but he had a T76 @ 10lbs of boost, and E85 conversion, but that wasn't $5K So I can quote an e85 number or I can quote what people use as a daily driver. Alone even in an F body the fuel conversion to E85 is going to run him no less than $1300 I mean you can do it cheaper but will it hold? I could have put on a shot of N2O and also made big numbers but really what good is it to drive around in a stock car, with a shot of nitrous and when its gone is worthless.

Weren't you the one that said something was a miss on my set up?
Really $5K is not going to get you 500 rwhp unless its half *** and maybe you can agree on that if not then I guess I am the wrong...Oh wait unless your a sponsor and get everything at cost +10%.
Come on don't lie to this kid I hate to see everyone just say you can do this and do that for a lot less when is sponsors telling these kids this line of bull ****. I read a thread that a sponsor told a kid that he did not need a stall with the cam you said made 385 rwhp. Come on the truth is that HP takes money and lots of it if your doing it right and reliably.

No, you are right and I never argued either way for or against that. However your list of mods with pricing plus the end result of RWHP did strike me as a bit odd. Not quite sure about the importance of the e85 info you listed either

So what does everyone think about the quote i got? I dont want to trash the 10 bolt cause i dont go to the track much. When it goes then ill worry about a stronger one but for now im mainly on the street and hopefully it will hold up for a bit.

not to mention the OP was refering to flywheel hp...as stated later on after i inquired.
$8K installed/tuned for 430rwhp in an auto seems a bit steep.
even if it is including TFS 215s.
go with ported 243 (ls6) heads and use stock rockers and you'll likely make the same power and spend $1000 less if not more. then sell your ls6 intake/tb and you've damn near payed for the ported FAST upgrade, which combined with the h/c should make NICE useable power.
and honestly, if you are planning any drag strip duty...save the money on the rear end install and start putting money away for a 12bolt/9"/s60 upgrade.

I find it hard to relate to your claim of an additional 30 rwhp form E85 fuel. I have dynoed my car on 93 octane BP and 109 octane unleaded VP racing fuel and the increase was only 5/7 rwhp as tuned. Obviously the 109 VP provided a much greater safety margin in relationship to detonation when the nitrous was activated.

Actually E85 is more of a 116 octane rating. Making it possible to run 28* of timing all day in a dd N/A car specially in areas like where I live (summer 110* 0% humidity) its easy to see gains of 20 to 30 rwhp, in more humid climates there won't be that much of a gain because Ethanol is a magnet for humidity. Also Ethanol is cooler than most fuels keeping internal temperatures low. I have a friend running 24lbs on his KB Cobra stock block, internals and running 10.98@134 and its a daily driver.

If not Id go and ur on budget try with the head/cam pack from texas speed under 2k any cam with stg 2.5 ls6 heads, push rods etc
Stall, Headers (which you have), cai, Ls6 intake (or fast used), and good tune should get u over 400rwhp pretty easily and easily stay under 5k

best of luck man the mod bug bites hard. Im verry happy with my results so far when i was cam only 390/375 stock 241's but im an m6...

if adding labor u should be close to 5k depend who does it. Im sure you could do intake swap on ur own.

The 116 octane for E85 is when using the research method (formula). It is more like 104/105 octane when comparing apples to apples. I don't care if you live in a Amazon rain forest or in the Sarah desert there's no way that E85 fuel will make 30 additional rwhp to your setup. Hopefully, others out there are smarter than to think that any fuel is capable of increasing 30 rwhp to a DD combo. Dude,Ive run 10.57@138 on 93 octane so whats your point.
Peace.
