Default cams with little to no lope.post vids.

hey guys im thinking of putting a cam in my auto.it has full boltons,3.73,3600 stall.the exhaust is dumped.

what should I look at when picking a cam with little to no lope.only reason I dont want it to lope is cause i dont want the car to be that loud, then with the exhaust dumped it will make it louder.

so if yall could post vids and hp #'s

Overlap causes lope. Here is an overlap forrmula but you need your durations at .0 lift not .050

These are the valve timing overlap ranges that are most likely to work correctly (thanks to David Vizard for providing this):
trucks/good mileage towing 10-35 degs overlap
daily driven low rpm performance 30-55degs overlap
hot street performance 50-75 degs overlap
bracket/oval track racing 70-95degs overlap
dragster/comp eliminator engines 90-115 degs overlap

Add the intake and exhaust adv durations
Divide the results by 4
Subtract the LSA
Multiply the results by 2

I guess somebody doesn't like it She is actually wearing her swimsuit bottoms in that pic Thanks for not giving me an infraction though Mod......

Edit: If you have your cam card you can use your seat to seat duration measured at .006

Take your "Intake opens @ BTDC # and simply add it to your "exhaust closes ATDC #" = overlap....

Ellsworth,
What cam is that? Sounds very good. I want a cam with little lope as well.
