I'm running tis cam with Dart non ported heads and I didn't have to fly cut the pistons. I went from a Comp 224/224- 581/581, and wish I would've got the 233/239 first. I really like this cam with my setup.
Z-28 with beefed up 4L60E and Moser 12 Bolt with 3.73's. It idles at 900 RPM and has very good street manners. Dynoed 417 RWHP at Speed, Inc. Uses Comp 7.4 hardened pushrods (stock length) Has run a best ET of 11.51 at 115 MPH and a best 60' of 1.57. I originally thought about the MS3 but backed off to the 233/239 and don't regret it. It's make a great poor man's race car. Drive it to the track, race it, and drive it home.
On a 112 LSA, it sounds great and you better have the car pointed in the direction you want to go at 3,400 rpm because it hits pretty suddenly. It pulls strong all the way up to 7,200 - 7,400 rpm. Don't try to go cheap on the lifters or pushrods or you will eat them and the cam too.
Good luck with your build !
