Go out to your car right now and spray the manifold bolts with a penetrating fluid. I prefer PB Blaster. Keep soaking them until time to put your headers on.

+1 on pb blaster. If you don't have access to a lift, put the rear tires on ramps and jack up the front end to get at least 24" of clearence. A floor jack, block of wood and an extra set of hands is a must. CHANGE YOUR SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES, while you the oppurtunity and the exhaust is out of the way. If your planning on going to poly motor mounts now is a great time to do it, Prothane imo. Spend the extra money and get good gaskets and locking header bolts, changing a gsket after 500 miles and breaking a header bolt in the head suck more than you could imagine.

PB blaster, get the car as high off the ground as possible (lift is best), swivel sockets, and patience. You'll get it done in like an hour and a half if you've got that.

Default Header Bolts

Use a set of header bolts like these >

Hex Head 5/16 are much easier to snake a small socket onto during installation. Put a dab of locktite on them as well.

I also recommend a 12 pack of your favorite beverage and an extra set of hands.

I did mine alone and it sucked...having someone help is a great idea.

A small torch (optional but helps) and a big hammer you will need to get the y-pipe outta the I pipe.

A 10mm ratcheting wrench...if you dont have one, go buy one.

A 1/4" drive air ratchet owns as well.

If your car has EGR, the easiest way to get the tube off the manifold is unbolt the manifold from the head and while its loose then take the tube off.
