What would I need?
Hey guys I looking in installing a Torquer v.2 cam in my daily driver. But I was wondering what do I need to complete installation. I know I need pushrods but do I need valve springs, oil pump, and timing chain? also if I'm missing something please notify me. Thanks for any input.

longshot is right you dont need to go tru the pita of pulling the heads for that cam.
you are gona need valvespring! and i would do a new oil pump and a ls2 timing set.
besids that you need all your gaskets
h2o, intake, exhaust, Front seal, and a new pully bolt its tty.
anything else??

people have got away with out both of them. but its pretty good insurance.
for the pump it really depends on how many miles you have and if you might wana be back into your engine in a few months
for the timing it kinda the same. how warn it is and miles and if you wana be careful.
if you were gona get one i would de get the pump tho

Well I do want to take it to the track a couple of times but I'm not going to push it to hard. can the timing chain hold up?

Lifters may not be a terrible idea at that kind of mileage, but that's your call. I personally wouldn't want to pull the heads off just for lifters though... I'd probably try and go without it though.
I'm putting together my cam swap right now, here's my shopping list...
TSP Torquer 2 Camshaft
TSP 7.4" pushrods
PAC 1518 Valvesprings (.650" lift)
OEM LS6 oil pump
OEM LS2 Timing Chain
Timing Cover Gasket
Timing cover seal
Water pump gasket
Harmonic Balancer bolt
Tune
Also special tools needed if you intend to do the job yourself...
LS1 Friendly Valvespring compressor
Air Compressor line adapter
Dowel rods (to hold up lifters)
Valvespring height micrometer
Valvespring shims

Well... that's up to you I went with the PACs rated for .650 since it was only $25 more. They're still a beehive spring, and I liked having the piece of mind, knowing I had plenty to work with. I just hate seeing cams with .59x lift running on the 918 springs rated for .600... There's just no room for error.
