power comes on at 3500 and doesnt end till 7400. I was suprised my 10 bolt survived for awhile and then popped on the street of all places.

bought a 2000 ss for 4 grand. The first thing I did was add a moser 9' w/ 4.11's. Added a spec 3+ clutch a little later. Steel driveshaft came next. TSP LS6 heads on about the same time. I'm now awaiting my 440 LSX that is being built. The ss was bought about a year ago w/ a small budget in mind. I've had no problems at the dragstrip breaking. I think that is the way to go,( Although the small budget went out the window). What can I say, I got the LS bug!

I commend you on your parts selection and choices to build the car first then engine. If i could do it again i would have done my chassi first.
