Default 233/239, or MS3?

I know you guys are probably sick of which cam threads, but Im back and forth between these two cams and I would like some opinions. I'm thinking about ordering as soon as tomorrow, but not 100% decided on which cam. My mods are in sig, will be spraying a 150 shot as well. Car is a M6, and doesn't get driven alot, mainly just a weekend/race car. Driveability isn't a huge concern of mine, more interested in hp numbers and 1/4 mile times. Will be going with a 112 LSA. Any opinions would be appreciated. Oh and I'd really like to pull the car to 6500 rpm's, not real sure about pulling it higher than that. I saw the MS3 peakes at 6400 but powerband is to like 6800, so not sure if 6500 would be a good shift point for that cam or not.

I have the stage 2.5 5.3 heads, m6, 4.11's, spool, dual clutch, and the MS3 on a 112lsa. The cam sounds AMAZING when tuned right. Low-end torque is worthless off idle if you just want to let out the clutch and go...good luck on that With the underdrive pulley and lightweight clutch the engine revs so fast to tach doesn't have a chance to keep up with the motor and it pulls HARD past 7,000rpm...the cam peaks at about 6,450 but HOLDS its peak well past that with good intake, heads and exhaust. At WOT it starts pulling really strong from ABOUT 3K-7K and from 2-3K is also fairly decent. Under 2K is a loss and really worthless for pulling..just maintaning. I can be in 6th gear at 40MPH and still be ok with the MS3. If i were to do it again...and i will be VERY soon..i would get a little bit smaller cam, or at LEAST one with less aggressive ramp rates (better on the valve train for street driving). The car is wicked fast thoug and loves my 125 shot (made 572RWHP and 618RWTQ with a 125 shot and 441 385 NA with a Pro Products 85mm intake). HERES AN IDLE VIDEO. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc1sdV__oJo

I got the MS3 on a 113 LSA in my CTS-V. I daily drive it as well without any drivability issues. Starts right up in 35 degree weather, and it pulls very hard after 3k. It almost comes on like a 50 shot of nitrous. And my car is a pig too.

I have the 233/239 on a 112, it sound really nice at idle, pulls hard, and you can definitely DD it If I were to do it again, I wouldn't go any bigger because its my DD

Thanks for your reply's. I've decided that the 233 239 cam is the one Im going with. I just think the power band will be better for me, since Im not really looking to pull it past 6500. Says this cam has a powerband of 1900-6500 I believe. Watched some idle vids of this cam too, and it has the sound I would like too.

ive tossed around the idea of going with a larger cam like the 233/239 for a DD street car since i hardly ever drive my car at all.

You should call LG Motorsports and ask them about the G5X3 or G5X4 cam. Youll be very satisfied.
