yah well they wont make a 30g car as fast as a 52g car --hell have you ever seen what they all did to these cars to slow them down -- once you take all the detune stuff off --mid 12's

I really wonder if the difference in block only actually translates to better ET's. I doubt it. I'm just sick of people putting "Ls6 Block" in their sig like if it was a big deal.
Whoopie! Now, if for some freak incident at the factory, one got Ls6 heads, that's something to brag about.

LS6 blocks offer no real performance gain except better crank case breathing in the higher RPM. I have a LS6 block in my 02 and that is just about as important to me as what color my valvestem caps are.

They were made in Mexico and the standard LS1 blocks were made in Canada. The LS6 block because of the larger vent holes at the base of the cylinder bores are thought to help in keeping some of the oil from causing fritional losses on the rotating assembly by helping the oil drain more quickly to the oil pan epecially at higher rpms. There is some thought however that because these vent holes are much larger than in the LS1 block's case that in EXTREME situations the block is weaker in this area.

No it's not, I have verified the circle and the part number on my block to be double sure, Ls1 Part # 12559378
