Default 1st Time performance mods

Im new to the ls1 and high performance mods period, here is what i have i need all the help i can get. 99 T/A ws6 slp lid, ls6 intake, kooks headers, comp cam that has bout the same specs as the ms3, magnaflow system with y pipe, 3200 stall, springs n push rods. dyno'd at 401 i don't really think its tuned right car dies out at times. i was hoping to put close to 450 to the tires please help as ive said im rarely new to this.

with an auto, you're lookin at closer to 415-430. what size y pipe/ ex do you have? where was it tuned? have you checked the plugs?

Sounds like a tune issue... A good tuner can make a big cam drive just fine w/out stalling, dying, or surging.
You won't put down 450 cam only. Throw a nice set of heads on it, and you'll get a lot more power out of it.

The system has a 3 inch setup, im gonna have it retuned on monday, wat kind of heads would u suggest? Is it possible the shop that dyno'd the car could bump up the numbers in the computer?

You mean make it look like you have more power than you really do? Or just improve your current setup with a much better tune. Where are you taking it to get tuned?

Check the stickies in this section for heads and valvetrain. There is a TON of info in them that will really help you pinpoint what you are wanting to achieve with this car.

Orangepeel said it best. For heads, call TSP, they can set you up w/ something to perfectly match that MS3.

Personally, I would run a 243 from TSP. They will spend time talking to you about what you are wanting to do and the goals you have for the car. TSP is good people.
