What years did truck LQ4's have aluminum heads?

02 was the first year i believe, so 02 up...

99 and 00 had the iron heads so 01+ would have the aluminum heads

****, you on the home stretch now. i'll go ahead and say welcome home man, and thanks. after my second tour i had enough of that place and got out. you think its dusty now should have seen it in OIF I. the difference in a year between I-III was unbelievable. we cleaned it up alot, but it will always be a hell hole no matter what you do. about the best camp to be on (ive been on all of them) but its in a bad spot as far as attacks go just outside the wire.

Thumbs up 317 aluminum heads

I own an '01 LQ4 with aluminum heads (#317 casting). This is the first year for aluminum heads on an LQ4. The steel head version was identical as far as flow(ports and chambers were identical).

i barely skated out befor stop loss for my third tour, now my unit is on there way to afgan for there fourth. i loved it the first time and wanted to go back, things changed after my third ied det tho. mostly my mind. lol
