anyone try 317 heads with big cam
I'm used to running 37 degrees timing and idleing at 1400 and getting 6mpg on my old scool sbc. Now I'm making more HP, on PUMP GAS, smoother idle, 18 mpg highway, and 28 degrees total timing... these are great engines. I would love to hear from somebody that has tried a similar setup. Is the lower comp. going to absolutely kill TQ down low? Let me know. If no one has tried this, I guess I will waste a day and $160 in GM bolts and gaskets and do the seat of the pants thing.
