hey all i am looking to do a heads,cam and intake setup on my 98trans am and i would like to end up with 420-450 rwhp what do you guys suggest?? i am planning on putting a ford 9 inch rear and upgrading the the auto trans also money isnt a big issue but i dont wanna go crazy i would like to stay cost efficient thanks for the help

remember a big rear end, and an auto will definitely not put up big numbers!! so dont go crazy if you put down less compared to an M6. autos arent dyno queens anyways. any head and a cam in the low 230 duration would be able to get your the hp you want with all bolt ons and good tuning.

Non ported 243 heads here with 11:1 compression (milled .020") and a 5 angle valve job I did. Custom 224 cam and I just added a ported 85mm fast intake I did and an underdrive pulley. Should be 430 rwhp + and 400 rwtq now. All done cheap; $180 ebay headers, home built 3" ORY, $30 summit 3.5" cutout, 3.5" flowmaster merge, $300 fast 78, $180 professional products ported 85mm throttle body. Tuned by myself with hptuners. More power everywhere.
