good news. played with it yesterday and i got it running. we played with my ve table and we nocked out all my random misfire. the car starts right up and runs now but i only habe a 30 second window where it has power then it just sputters when you give it gas. My fuel to air ratio is rediculously off

gettin ready to do a cam swap myself, this thread is scary! lol does everyone rely on the lifter retainer thingys that are in the motor to reliably hold the lifters up??? haven't started it in about a month so i'm thinkin they should be pretty dry. i just don't want to have to pull the heads if they don't always work. seen the magnet pen trick on a how to page and the tool is to expensive for a 1 time deal. so they should be fine or do the magnet trick for insurance?

Man...reading this thread would make you think doing a cam swap is near impossible. And what is with all the "don't get a double roller timing chain" comments? I had no issues installing my Comp double roller with my cam swap. It definatley was not a big hassle when installing it and works just fine. I would much rather use it than an LS2 stocker. Maybe it's just me...but there seems to be some bad info in this thread.

Because people run into oil pump clearance issues a lot with double rollers. There really is no reason for them when the LS2 chain is doing fine in many 1000+ hp builds.
