cam swap done... BIG PROBLEMS
FWIW, the coilpacks and brackets are completely interchangeable from side to side. This is true from '97 to present. The harnesses are actually numbered for both sides...
As long as the cam and crank sprockets are dot to dot at final assembly, you are good.
A simple cranking compression test will most likely tell the tale with the least amount of effort.
I may have missed a few points but I hope this helps clear up at least a few things.

You know as well as I do we don't need to start a thread of messed up stuff in the Military..we would be here all day talkin about that..lol
anyway why would you wonder why somebody would have a tire iron or anything such as that to change the alternator, makes me wonder about you.you got to relieve the tensioner with something.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

At this point are you still wonderin why I don't use a Tire Iron to move the Tensioner?

2 inches will be too long anyway i just had to pry it about a quarter inch to get the bolt in dumba.....
LOL..Ya I use my 3/8 Ratchet and a 13mm Socket on the Tensioner Pulley Bolt..that would be one of the CORRECT tools for the LS Engine.

Just because they might shoot their foot off does not mean they do not need guns! Guns and feet have nothing to do with each other or with this forum or this thread. If you want to talk politics go to a different forum. This is not the place for politics.

Let me educate you..

With a little muscle it moves very easily with a 3/8 Ratchet..WITHOUT bending it.

And I'm pretty sure it's a 13mm..I would check but it's 7,000 miles away at the moment..anyone want to help out?
