most bang for the buck?

which is better for the money 5.3 ported truck heads or stock ls6 heads on a stock block runing a z06 cam and springs trying to get the most bank for my buck

I would do a cam on the stock heads and see where you go from there.

whos doing the porting on the 5.3 heads? prc 2.5 5.3 heads flow the same as their ls6 heads and you get the smaller runners for velocity and more compression.... but if its someone that did the porting themselves, the ls6 heads will prob be better

if your a4 then get a yank ss3600 stall
if your m6 then get a cam with your stock heads

Is this a daily driver or weekend warrior? A4 or m6? Are you getting it tuned? Do you want the higher compression?

on a m6 car its a daily driver no track time right now just street and theres a guy around here thats very well known for his port jobs does almost all the ports in the state. tuning yes will have that done after swap. and do i want the higher compression im pretty new to this stuff so thats why im trying to get an oppion. i can have the same money just about in a set of 5.3s ported as i would a stock ls6 heads all i have now is just 241 permiter heads
