Default ARP Studs?

I just got my ARP studs in today. I went through the box and all I got was the big ones. What about the small side bolts? Surely we don't reuse the factory ones.

The side bolts are not included with the ARP main studs. You must either purchase new GM side bolts, or apply some type of thread sealer to your existing bolts.

Chris, it's not a problem using the factory side bolts in the least. The only set of studs that comes with non-factory side bolts would be the ones that are included with the GM C5R block. Those are $$$$$$$$ studs.

Head and main studs are available through Thunder Racing

Get them from Thunder. Out of all the sponsors, they are the most helpful.

ARP shorted me on the small studs in my HEAD stud kit. I got the nuts and washers for the small studs but not the studs themselves.

I thought the samething when I opened the box lookin'. They really arent needed though as I dont believe the side bolts hold the load as the actual studs do.

Mine came with the small studs. I'd call your supplier if I was you and ask where they are. Justin

The 12 point nut is stronger (spreads load over more points) but the 6 point will work just as well.
