I need help choosing a cam
I was told to post this here, so if a Moderator can delete the post in the Newb section, it will be greatly appreciated.
I am a regular on Norcal lsx, been there for years. Couple of guys said that there is a couple of camshaft Gods on this site. I come on here from time to time doing research, but looking for help this time.
Car 1998 Z28 M6, 60,xxx miles.
mods: ASP pulley, slp lid, pacesetter Lt's with 3" TSP true duals X pipe, through dual 3" magnaflow bullets.
uninstalled mods: HSW nitrous kit, Trick flow 220 cast heads, LS6 intake.
Car Dyno'd 333hp/353 torque before i added the pulley.
So i have done a TON of reading trying to pick out a cam to go with the heads and intake, but haven't seen much of anything that has convinced me in any direction.
I am not worried about huge dyno numbers, i want a track proven cam.
Off the shelf or custom grind is fine with me.
The car is more or less a weekend warrior, not my daily driver, so fat *** lopey cam is fine if it can propel me into the 10's on spray.
Thanks to all that are looking, and thanks in advance for the help.

With the amount of money you've spent so far on your setup, I'd say it's worth asking some of the forums' cam veterans to chime in. PatG charges $25 for custom cam specs for your particular build, and I'd say it's well worth it, particularly in your case.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

yea, I sent patrick G a message, i have no problem sending him $25, as long as it is worth it. I am told he is a cam god. I just want to buy one cam for this motor, not trial and error it. I am not a millionaire, but get a hook up now and then, and was able to make payments on the heads to my firend that owns a tuning shop, got pretty lucky there. I will sit and wait until Patrick gets a minute then. I have heard nothing but good things about his cam knowledge

Pat is ok with speccing cams, and I don't agree with Predator's thought on reverse splits. I tend to trust people who spec cams for a living, but that's just me. TSP's bigger cams, well, they are made to "fit" and aren't optimal either.
As far as sponsors go, EPS does good cams.
