Default cam for 4.8. tr220 or tsp212/218?

Looking for a cam kit for my 84 cutlass. Motor is a 4.8 and I have talked to both companies and this is what they each recommended for my setup. My question is will I gain anything by choosing one over the other? Or will the difference be minimal? Setup is a carbed 4.8, th350, 3600 stall, 3.73's, and ~3200lbs. And the choices specs are: tr220/220 .551/.551 and the tsp212/218 .558/.563. Any other recommendations are welcome. Thanks.

Thunder racing said 109 lsa. It will be driven regularly during warm weather. Not much highway driving since I live and work in town. Not real worried about track times just want something fun to drive with decent power. Upon finishing college I hope to step up to a 6.0L but that is a year away.

I ran the engine through some dyno simulation software and drag software, as well as checking a few things out in pipemax.. I'm going to PM you my result but it is different than the 2 cams you were recommended, and will outperform both for your setup. I am assuming long tubes and mufflers.

PM sent.

That cam should go low-flat 12 in that car with that cam, stock 5.3 heads, shifts at 6700-6800.

3600 sounds like a bit much for a 212/218 I run this cam in my 5.3 ordered with a 114lsa on xe lobes. with your stall if ur set on one of these two cams the 220 is getting my vote.
