i started the tear down on the lq4 yesterday. (this is my 1st ls build). noticed the back side of the crank is not as deep as the ls1 crank also there is no freeze plug. dont think it will be much of an issue. the lq block looks like it has a spot where ur suppose to drill the alt bracket hole. is this right? having trouble getting the crank pully off. special tool?

Yes you'll need a crank pulley puller. You can usualy rent them from autozone.
