can that block even be repaired and reused?
No it cant. The scuffs are so deep that a hone would not clean them up. The block is already maxed out with a 3.905 bore. It is trash. So are the pistons.

Can the Admin ban sponsors if they screw over site members like this?

Just curious.

i would want more then my money back. it sounds like the customer supplied the shortblock for a refresh and that refresh cost him 2500 bucks, and now the pistons and the block is f*cked, so he should pay for that too

would be nice to hear the other side of the story too

Its Daniel Raff of Late Model Performance. He is located in Garland, TX.

I didnt supply the shortblock. He had purchased the original shortblock. He refresshed it with new rings and bearings, ran it in his car for about 200 miles (who knows if thats true), busted his trans and decided to sell the shortblock. He claims he didnt notice the scuffs. I dont believe him one bit. He would have seen all of those shaving when he chainged the oil (which he claimed he did three times).

Here is the first thread where it has 1500 miles.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/texas-cla...s-headers.html

Then is has 1000 miles.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts...s-2-stage.html

And when he contacted me he told me it only has 200 miles on it. Unfortunatly I didnt see the other threads untill the **** hit the fan. All of this will look great for my case though. Everything is saved on my computer.

He sold me a fucked up rear end about a year and half back. He told me it was in like new condition and didn't howl one bit. Threw it in The car and it whined it's *** off. He said I was SOL because he already spent the money on a windshield for his car. He has since pmed me "trying to make it better", and "what could he do to make me stop trolling his threads letting everyone know he was a fraud". I never wrote back because I don't want to deal with anyone like that. I've tried telling people to avoid this seller. Hopefully this time he gets busted. Good luck to the original poster.

Has nothing been done as far as legal action?

His partner "Carless Chris" has always been alright in my book and has a pretty good name for himself. I did make him aware of this thread on another board in hopes his partner settles this situation.

Sorry to hear about your bad transaction, Oh4GTO. Carless Chris seems pretty reasonable about this type of stuff. I'd try to contact him if you think its an LMP issue. You will probably get more feedback from him than Daniel. Just taking a guess
