You running the aluminum stock LS1 block?
Dont the aluminum blocks grow .004 once up to temp.
thus making the quench area larger.

I run the mahle stuff +5cc. 4.030 bore .010 out of the hole. .040 cometic gaskets.
Been 7500 rpms every pass hundreds of passes. I have sprayed 250 on several occasions. Prc 237 6 bolt heads 62cc... Very large nitrous cam
Don't notice tuning being any harder than a stock motor. I'm 30 degrees on e85.

If your worried about it get some .050 cometic. Won't make a huge difference anyway.

Really? I have blown mls stuff and never blown a cometic.

Both you guys are replying to a 10-year old thread. Nothing in 10 years usually means those involved aren't around here anymore.

Well i'm an idiot. I was reading this thread and not looking at the dates. didnt read to the end till now and i just wasted half an hour going through my texts to find the clearance on mine when i did my heads. So i'll post it anyways. my piston stuck up out the hole .006, I did .041 SCE composite gaskets. See's 7000rpm on the regular. FWIW
