Just trying to understand some things. If one cam is on a 114 LSA + 2 (112 ICL)

and another one of the same lift and dur is one a 114 LSA +1 (113 ICL)

Are they really any different?

One is just advanced less. Intake Centerline really only tells you how the cam is postitioned in relation to when the piston hits Top Dead Center. Advancing a cam makes all of the valve events happen sooner in relation to TDC, and retarding the cam makes everything happen later.

For example, say both of those cams are 224* cams. If the cam with an ICL of 112 opened the intake valve 10* before TDC, the cam with the ICL of 113 would open the valve 9* before TDC.
