i dont know. if you look at the differences with the cathedrals, the main difference is the raised port. one could argue that with the ports this small.. theres a possibility the LS1 style intakes (especially ported FAST intakes) might (key word) work

It wont fit a cathedral intake, but we already have a full line of cathedral LS1 PRC castings!
These heads will ultimately be available to fit 3.9" bore engines if it proves on the dyno to be something worth doing. Currently we're working on several different port configurations.

No, the intake bolt holes are wrong for LS1 intakes.

Every engine has limitations being that they have the wrong wholes for the intake it could be something easily fixed at a later date if prc deems it a change financially worth while for the heads.
That said there are plenty of good heads for LS1/LS6 configuration out there that have proven themselves.
Mainly if the change to the heads to have these fit ls1 put them close to or in the price range of TF is that monetary change worth it if the performance is not the same. I am sure that to many of us this would not be worth it and prc would loose money in the end.

What I am saying is that these heads with the square intake ports are going to be great heads for the LS3 set up and that if PRC went off and tried doing a similar head for the LS1 set up, it might not be cost effective to either party.

No not that at all. These heads are beautiful castings yet like i said every engine is different and to have one head casting would be realistically not possible.

The biggest advantage I see is being able to run an L76 manifold. If you can get comparable flow numbers to good aftermarket LS1 heads (and maybe thats a big if, using smaller valves to fit the LS1 bore).
Now go compare pricing on a fast intake (an excellent manifold with a big price tage even on sale) versus an L76. It something like $820 versus $250. Now which head would you consider? Of course if PRC prices the head in the $2800 dollar range you wouldn't really save anything. If they put in the $2000 dollar range and the head can flow. It becomes a no brainer.
