Default 02 ss won't start

Yesterday my friend moved the car and went back later and now it won't start. Turn the key and the fuel pump primes but after that the starter won't go. He took out the ing. relay and jumped two prongs and it starts but dies right away as if the fuel system is still not on. Thanks in advance.

That happened to me on my Vette take the batt out of the fob and that should help if it doesn't have a batt I am lost then but your battery could be going bad on the fob.

I'll have to ask him again, but I don't think it was. But I do remember that the light was flashing when the key was turned on?

He did charge the battery to a full charge.
Sounds like its the VATS. I just had to bypass mine. Its the resistor chip in the key or the contacts in the column. They wear and you can replace both for big money or you can measure the resistance of your key chip and by pass it at the steering column. Search here about No start, or security light. There are a bunch of threads on bypassing the VATS.

I can disable the VATS w/ HP Tuners and tell you how to completely bypass it. Give me a holler if you need some help.

Its most likely the VATS, those little wires that go to the resistor pellet reader contacts eventually break & cause an instant no crank condition. It can be bypassed using HP tuners or with a resistor.
