Default Deciding on cams!!

I have a 1998 Z28 with full exhaust and lid nothing major. Need helping choosing a cam! I daily drive it now so that has to be taken into consideration! Looking for good power range, but definitely don't want to get into flycutting pistons!

Choices:

MS4
MS3
Tsunami
Torquer v.3
Trex

A4 or M6? Not too many people can recommend anything off of what you are showing.

All of those are rather large cams for daily driving IMO. I am personally going to go with the 228r or the Torquer v.2 at most.

Wow! What are you psychic? I'd still go with the 228r or something close.

Thanks but I'm trying to decide from the list above! I know it will be a DD but gas mileage isn't too big of a deal just want something that makes good power and sounds sick!

i personally run the torquer 2. im going to go out on a limb and say thats the cam u should run. it will satisfy your needs, it will work with stock 3.42s, you will get ~400rwhp with an LS6 intake and full exhaust. it sounds choppy, its a great all around cam for our cars.

Keep in mind there is a difference between peak and useable power. Those huge cams make awesome power but most of it is up top so in drag racing applications they are great. For a DD you want down low useable street power. Unless you plan on rappin out 7000+ rpms on the street. For a DD street car I would rather have a cam that came in low and peaked at around 62-6400. Useable power trumps peak power everytime. There's 700hp honda civics out there that get beat by 400hp camaros because the honda doesn't make dick for power below 6k rpms.

out of your choices i would say the Torquer V3. make sure you have longtubes, and all other supporting bolt ons.

the torquer is the only one on that list that is in any way a "street" cam.

yes i know i would need oil pump and stuff i have ordered just about everything but the push rods and springs and the cam because im not sure of what cam i want to go with.. and i have long tubes and lid , im going to get a better intake manifold as well but im more interested in figuring out the best cam to make like 400 hp or more and to have a good strong chop to it. I am deciding between the ms3 and torquer v3
