Lifter preload?

At 1 3/4 turns you have .082 preload.
Do you know your target preload?
Comp recommends adjustable rockers for those lifters presumably because their required preload range (minimum - maximum) is narrow.
Added:
Additional research indicates that Comp calls for a preload of 0.002 to 0.0004 inch. Some folks report satisfactory results using 0.010 inch and others have run preload based 3/4 turn. Thus, these lifters are designed to use adjustable rockers, but in any event the current 1 3/4 turns of preload is too high and you need 0.075 inch shorter push rod.
