OP said engine is not in the car... so pulling the heads off should be simple.

This seems like an awfully expensive and unnecessary endeavor just to clean the pistons...??
Why do you want to clean them so bad, especially at the cost of gaskets, bolts and time?

Orangepeel is right, I would like to take a closer look just to make sure. I have taken a look at the clutch and it looks like normal wear for the mileage. However there is alot of this crap in the heads. I think it's just due to not having a oil catch. There was oil in the intake, and it just got burnt on the head intake walls.
