Default ASA Cam owners please come in!!!!!!!!! Need vacuum readings!

I have an ASA cam in my L33 5.3 that I have stuffed into a miata. What I'm looking for is what are your vacuum numbers with this cam? I'm getting around 8 inches of vacuum right now and cannot figure out if its from the cam or if I have a vacuum leak. What do your cars normally idle at vacuum wise? Thanks!

With a 5.3 and that cam, I'm surprised to see 8"...

Why's that? Its not much smaller then a 5.7 and the ASA is only a 226/236 with a 110 lsa.

It idles WAY better then my old 242/248 111 lsa built 347

'Cause it is what it is. You never stated your idle speed, my (carb'ed) 5.7 with a 232/234 pulls 14" @ 900 but drops to 8" at 700. Hopefully others will chime in, but I fear it's the cam...

850-1000 (not sure, haven't been in the car looking at it for a few days)

I'll compare idle to KPA and convert it over to inches of vacuum tomorrow.
