Take the rest of the bolts out and try to lift the manifold off what's left then get some vice grips and twist it out by the broken stub.

They should be pretty common? M6 is about a 1/4 inch. A No.1 or No.2 size should work.

Try a Harbor Freight or a NAPA. This is what you're looking for, if they have metric great.

No NOT use a harbor freight easy out! They break! I snapped one off on a header bolt and had to dremmel around it to get it out and use a helicoil. Get a quality American made product.

Make sure you drill the center of the bolt, they make left hand twist drills ( McMaster-Carr etc. ) most of the time using one of these will bring the bolt shell out, if not then use a straight square shank ease-out. the tapered twist type tend to expand the bolt shell making them tighter. You can play around with a few heat cool cycles with a propane torch. If that fails keep drilling and use a Helicoid. Bill

Just a hunch...were you installing or removing?

If installing, were you using a torque wrench?

If not, get one in ft-lbs and in-lbs and torque all bolts...especially on an aluminum engine to technical specification.

Good Luck...should come out with an easy-out (Sears has them).

I bought the one from sears, I will try today, I dont wan to drill through the entire bolt since its a through hole and it ends in a collant passage. I am so close to being done with this install blah. next time I will just pull the engine.
