Default Cam decision help!

I need some help or suggestions on which cam I should decide on. MODS in SIG. This will be a cam only swap. Might potentially do heads in the future but more then likely not. Looking for something that's going to have good power/torque in the low/mid range. I am wanting something that will net me close to 35-45 more RWH to get me close to that 400RWH mark. So far I'm looking into these...

Texas Speed 228R and the 224 or

222/223 .578/.578 or .600/.600

225/229 .578/.578 or .600/.600

Whichever I go with will be on a 112 LSA. Any thoughts guy's? Thanks!

On the 228R, Should I stick with the .588/.588 lift or should I bump it up to a .600/.600? I will be running the Patriot Gold Extreme valve springs.

Thanks

get a custom spec'd cam, and if your just hunting for 400 rwhp get a ms3/ms4/trex/vindicator/street sweeper/polluter etc.... they all have been known to put down well over 400 with the right mods/tune

I'm more concerned with getting something with good torque and HP under the curve. Don't want anything that big like the MS3 OR 4 etc etc. I would rather have it in the 380-390 range and be able to utilize the power w/o having to spin it to the moon.

That 228 cam is a nice grind, and it's hard to beat the performance of the 224 cam also. It works so well in many applications.

Get a custom spec, something in the 228/230 range. I'm running a VRX4 from vengeance racing. Cam is awesome and it's also my DD. I have stock LS6 heads and a ported FAST 92 and made dam well over 400rwhp, thru a stalled auto.

225/229 keep it under 600 lift

I like the split pattern, smaller cams give more power soon than big cams, u need tq to get that f body going....

I also like the 228/232 cam g5x1 etc
streetsweeper fti 220/224

So fill me in on some terminology because I'm still learning...what exactly does it mean when people say "114+4 or 112+2" etc etc..I'm a little confused about the "+" part.

Crane Cams Z Series Camshaft 228/232 112LSA would be a good off the shelf grind.

the more advance a cam has the sooner it peaks in power,a little more torque.you can get a custom cam ground for $25 more ,I suggest a EPS cam.more power less duration.
