Did an LS motor ever come in any Buicks?
I am trying to find out if the Gen III V-8 ever came in a Buick. The only reason I care is that I was hoping there might be some Buick branded plastic intake/valve cover fascias out there like the Corvette and Cadillac have.

Here it is. Looks like no custom covers:

The Buick community is giving me a hard time because they say that the 6.0 Escalade engine I am putting in my car is a Chevy motor. So, at least I have one car that the LS motors came in that is a Buick.

Also, Maybe you could get some custom covers made? Or were you trying to go OEM on them.

First Gen Buick Lacrosse was available with the 5.3L LS4. Not sure what kind of covers it had.
*edit*
Well I found a pic of the Lacrosse engine compartment....Sorry no Buick logos on the cover, although I'm sure you could mount one on this cover easily.
Although keep in mind the intake is backwards on a LS4, so the cover may not fit anything else easily.

Or you could tell them theres more things the ls engines have in common with the buick small block 350 than they do sbc.
Valve angles closer, deep skirt block, front oil pump, tall deck, and the power always surprises people lol.

Wikipedia
Your question has already been answered, but I'll post this anyway -- maybe it will help someone in the future.
I like Wikipedia. It's not always accurate, and you should cross-check other sources if you're actually going to apply the info, but it's a great place to start looking.
The LS1 was the first motor in the Gen III small-block V8 family, and it came out in 1997. You're looking for Buicks with Gen III/IV V8s. So:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick
Scroll down to the bottom and click "show" on the 1980s–present section.
The LaCrosse Super came with an LS4 (5.3 L V8).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_LaCrosse#Super
The Rainier is available with a 5.3 L Gen III V8 as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_Rainier
Not what you're looking for, but interesting: the Lucerne is available with a 4.6 L Northstar (DOHC V8).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_Lucerne
Also interesting: the Buick Riviera was available with a supercharged V6.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick_R...2.80.931999.29
You can also start from the other direction: look at the list of vehicles that the Gen III/IV V8 has been installed in.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine
List of Vortec engines. The 5.0 and 5.7 are old smallblocks (not LS1 compatible). The The 4.8 L, 5.3 L, 6.0 L and 6.2 L are Gen III/IVs from the LS1 family.
