Sorry it took so long. I was waiting on getting my heads back from Mike at TEC. He installed the valve springs and retainers for me. As well as decked the heads.

New ls7 lifters soaking and ls2 lifter trays

A shot of the mild porting

Oversize valves

.040 cometic

Both heads installed and torqued. Powersteering pump found its home aswell

I took some measurements for the pushrods i need to order. Thats all for now! Next up is re installation of the water pump, radiator, and fill up with water.

looks awesome, i like the fly cut idea, gives me some ideas for when i do mine, i'm in 2 minds about doing the heads with the cam iv got (218/224 114lsa), but i think i'll do heads and new lifters when i put my cam in after reading this, interesting to see what it makes when done, awesome job. what size valves did you put in? or leave that to the machine shop?

I don't know if it was mentioned but did you drill holes in the LS2 lifter trays?

I drilled 1/4" holes in them on my LQ4 build.

It prevents hot oil from puddling in the trays.

oh ok, sweet, will chase some up for mine, i want to do the lifters so if i do will defenatly do the heads, will be doing the install myself as i'm in the trade, but will get a machine shop to do any machining, top effort though.

i don't think the holes in the lifter trays would be a huge issue as they would be there from factory if it was, always a good idea though but id say you will be able to get a way with it, first iv heard about drilling holes in them anyway.

Looks good, what compression do you have now?I've read that fly cutting lowers compression, but not sure by how much.
