If i deck the heads a little or get thinner head gaskets my pushrods should get smaller by the same amount to keep the same preload right ?

It may not be the exact change in length, but it will be pretty close.
This is all assuming your pushrod length is optimal prior to milling or the thinner gasket. I don't really like to leave something like this up to chance. I would break out the adjustable pushrod and insure that it's correct.

Unless you are doing custom pushrods, 0.010" change in length can't be purchased so you may not even need to change them (increments in length is typically 0.025"). Always good to verify though. What is the current preload and what lifters are you running (do they have a very narrow preload range)?

Morel lifter preload should be between 0.030"-0.050". Depending on your current preload, when you mill/deck you should re-measure and confirm you are still within the range of preload for the Morels. I got those preload values straight from Morel a few years back. I run mine at the upper end and found it to be very quiet.
