Arrow "Reverse Split" - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA

Who has had any experience with this cam, I would like to know what set up you guys have and what power you are making on motor and on nitrous, any help would be appreciated! thanks

This is the best I could do for ya.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...3-111-lsa.html

Nitrous, depending on the size, will work well with pretty much the same results on most cams. Now if your planning on a 250 shot or something bigger, I would definitely look into a custom traditional. Doesnt matter if they are traditional splits or reverse. I have been kicking the idea around of getting a custom reverse, but I have the intake to support a wide traditional.

I'm not happy with mine really...drives like stock for the most part though, but it just doesn't seem to get the power I want at all.

Mine is a comp xe grind. Only made 345rwhp (unlocked, but my converter seems tight enough I think I'd be lucky to get 10 more out of it) and only been trapping 88mph. I was hoping for at least 360rwhp unlocked and/or at least 90mph traps. Dyno was with cutouts closed on drag radials and I do have a 12bolt but I still think its low.

Before the FAST setup and stall it made 325 rwhp with ls1 intake, stock stall unlocked, on a mail order tune.

It might have to do with the advance mine has ground in bringing rpm down, but the engine seems healthy as a horse as far as compression test and no misfires...just all she has in her. Tuned for 13.2a/f and 28 degrees timing. First pull it made 360rwhp unlocked but the a/f was lean to nearly 14a/f.

If I were you I would be talking to Geoff at EPS cams or someone else who cam spec you a custom cam on their lobes.

i've been having this cam for a while and love it. It bucks in lower rpms up to 1300 but everything is fine. I have a forged bottom end motor with gtp 5.3 liter heads and this cam with an ls6 intake. everything else on the motor is stock like maf, throttle body, rocker arms, etc. I made 455 rwhp and 418 rwtq in 2002 with this setup. Goeff built this motor for me when he still owned thunder. I have no complaintes and still drive my car with no problems. If i updated my motor with different heads and boltons it might make more power than that now.

I have no bucking or surging, even when it was on the stock stall...did push through the brakes and was slow though. Stall made things a TON better.

Idles great at 850rpm and has a mean lope to it.

that TR 230/224 cam is a bad *** street cam.. just do a search. you will see alot of people running a reverse split cam and not really any complaints. i run the MTI X1 230/227 and i love mines. i plan on adding either some LS6 or 215 head and spraying a 125 shot on top as well.

do a search on gillbot, jaSSon, blewbyouss..those are some the guys running a reverse split cam. btw i made 395 rwhp on stock heads on my auto with this cam with a vigilante 3200 stall.

they handicap poor intake flow (manifold, heads, ect) on cars with perfect flowing exhaust

they also often have great mid range power

thats awesome man!! alot of people under estimate these reverse split cams. when MTI was still around it was their most popular cam.
