My 98 z28 has 135,000 miles should I try to do a complete rebuild? If so what exactly do I need?

 

Whats wrong with it now ? What are your goals for it after a rebuild ?

 

i cant find the problem its giving me a code for my maf but the maf is good.
and its making a weird noise. i just dont want to put mods on the car and it break down.
i just want it to be a really fast daily driver that i can eventually turn into a weekend car.

 

If it's an LS1 powered car, it's 'really fast' already. What are you calling 'a weird noise'? MAFs don't make noise btw.

 

i know its already fast i just want it to be faster. its not coming from the maf.
its coming from the passenger side like where the head is?

 

ticking noise? exhaust leak noise? rocker noise? wooshing like a vacuum leak noise? old man stuck in a box snoring noise?

 

well i replaced the vacuum hoses two days ago.what does a rocker noise sound like.

 

Do you have a sewing machine sound or a louder than normal ticking?

 

I would say like a sewing machine cause you have to pay attention to it to hear it

i dont know what the hell is wrong with the car it threw a code saying the maf had low input? whatever that means?
