I did some calculations...

when the piston cycles across TDC, the acceleration seen by the piston due to crank rotation is:
@6000 rpm: -2700 g's
@7000 rpm: -3600 g's

the rod angle is pretty much vertical at this point, so those are the g's seen by the rod (and rod bolts) just from crank rotation.

Thumbs up Stock LS1 conneting rods

I'm pretty sure for a Clevite bearing, you look for part number CH-1776-P.
If you have stock powered metal connecting rods that come in all LS engines except in the LS7 and LS9, they can not be resized due to the fact they are broken capped connecting rods. The connecting rod end and the connecting rod cap match up perfect to one another, Do not resize powered metal connecting rods. Any questions regarding LS I'm your man.

anytime you run arp rod bolts you should have the rods checked for out of round its like 150 bucks to have it done and your motor wont fall apart... i have powdered rods in my v6 and had them done to GM spec.... after i added the arps bolts. the gm tech manual said nothing about not being able to do it because of the rods being powdered. that was 25k ago and 7k rev limiter (i know cause i make sure every time im in the car )

What I explained is the correct way to resize a cracked cap rod. It does not affect the mating surface of the rod or cap because you are not trimming them down like you would an older SBC/SBF type rod. You simply oversize the bore and use a bearing meant for that oversized ID. It's that simple.

I think you should do more research before bumping old threads and claiming to be some sort of LS guru.

They won't be, especially with the 8740 bolts.
