Default Iron Block 5.7L From a 5.3...

What's up guys...
I am wanting to build an iron block 5.7 engine for my 99 Sierra 1500. i know this has been done before but I'm having a hard time finding a write up on it. This is not going to be a race motor by any means, which is why I'm not interested in jumping up to a LQ4/9. I can't find any info on changes that would need to made beyond the bore change, and i'm wondering if anybody has a suggestion for an aftermarket cam that would improve my towing range (2000rpm-3000rpm). The truck is not a daily driver, but it needs to remain street-able of course.

I do want forged pistons in it though, I may boost the motor in the future.

Scwanke (sp) is a sponsor on here that does this conversion. Call em up and ask them about it.
