What I meant by that is that 4:10's in a dd would seem to be overkill as far as driveability im sure it stomps azz but as far as driving around town and on the highway im sure your probably over 3k rpm at 70 mph which is a bit loud with any exhaust on a cammed ls1, but if it was just a weekend car thats a whole differant ball park

I have a 228/232 588/595 112even XER lobes. The car is not fully tuned yet ,but the two times I have gotten on it it pulls extremely hard from 3,000 up. I will be getting it fully tuned soon and taking it to the track Sept17.

The guy that did my heads and PTV measurements suggested the durations and lift.
So I orderd it threw TSP under there custom cam.

This seems to happen a lot when someone has good success with a custom cam....it end's up in many people's cars.

It isn't a custom cam. Its an off the shelf cam motion cam.

Okay, my cam install is done! It was actually done a week ago, but I ended up having a cracked oil pan & a pinched o-ring to deal with, so it wasn't actually back in service until today. It's going in to XP Racing for a dyno tune this coming Monday, so I'll be sure to update this thread with my final #'s. I'm kinda intersted to see the difference between cutout open & closed too, so I'll be sure to report back on that too.

Here's a quick video I took this morning at the gas station with the cutout closed...

Is that a cam motion grind? It sounds good

Here's mine going in a couple of days ago. But stopped for a photo op.

Slight problem with my dyno tune last week because my pushrods were too long (too much preload, not building compression). Got the new shorter pushrods installed tonight & took my first drive. Everything sounds great & my next dyno appt. is next Thursday morning, so I will be sure to update this thread Thursday night. Sorry for the suspense, it's killing me too. Wish I could take it back tomorrow!

I ended up getting back in to the dyno today. Final #'s were 371/351, so not quite as much as I expected, but still not bad. Hope to get it to the track sometime & see what it will really do. I'll post an Excel comparison graph tomorrow when I have more time.

Damn that torque's a flatliner! Good stuff, not very high numbers, but I bet with your stall, it pulls like a beast. The track will tell it all, good job!

That's pretty impressive for cam only, stalled auto.
