Default H/C package ideas

I im planning on getting the H/C upgraded on my 01 firebird formula. Right now my budget is 3k but i can go to 3.5k and i am pushing a 125hp shot of nitro. I'm looking at the ms3 cam by tsp. But im also needing some good heads. One thing im looking for is a rough idle and a good amount of horsepower and alittle torque to go along with the torque conveter im getting.

So basically i need a package reccomendation or heads to go along wit the ms3.

if you are set on the MS3 from TSP and want budget heads, than you might want to buy some PRC stg 2.5 5.3's because their 243's will not clear the MS3 due to PTV issues

I'm running the tsp tsunami 235/340 with 2.5 ls6 heads. I'm making 426 at the wheels on a mustang dyno. I gained about 100 horse switching to this setup. Its on a 111lsa and sounds mean as **** and pulls hard. I got a best of 12.1. But would have pulled 11s with a better clutch. I did this on a 10 bolt rear also. So look into it I love mt set up.

Trickflow heads are badass and will be complimented well with a good cam set up.

Give us a call. We have built some of the most powerful/reliable heads & cam combos in the country. We have great pricing on all TFS/Comp products and can put together a combo to suit your specific needs.

I'd PM matt (Matt@Texas-Speed) or one of the guys at Texas Speed to put together a killer package for you.

This is the way to go with a vrx4 or vrx5^^^^^^ Go smaller on the cam so you have room to mill and get a nice compression bump.... Love my TFS 220's

haha, or go larger cam run a .040 gasket and still mill to 58cc...rent a flycutting tool and don't compromise, it is really not hard at all...

hello hidden hp...

as for heads I like the 220 TFS for a great bang for the buck with consistent good results...if you want to spend more coin for one of the best check out

new AFR 210s, TFS 215s, or the PRC 217 (haven't seen much dyno on these though)

have fun deciding there are going to be a huge amount of opinions
