been there done that on stock manifolds. long tubes and magnaflow gained me 35 rwhp. the stock manifolds have such high back pressure you cant run any timing... i didnt read through everypost so i dont know if you decided to get headers or not but i definitely would...

You should see about 430rwhp on a dynojet with that setup.

If you want to keep the manifolds get the tr cheatr v.3 cam and afr 205 package. The cheatr v.3 should make more power on stack mannies than both the tr224/ tr228 and sound like stock. To be honest I would get a EPS grind before either of those...

numbers in sig. I'm running 5.3 heads, 233/239 cam, 92 fast intake, pacesetter headers on a very stingy dyno. This was all direct bolt on. no porting

If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to not port the 5.3's. From what I have seen they are no better than 241's in unported form? Still nice numbers tho!

Check this out: https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-mild-cam.html

403hp through stock manifolds. That's a stick shift car though, but still shows theirs hope even with stock manifolds.

ok i have a set of new prc 2.5 5.3 in my other car . hasnt been started ever and have always wanted to go with a nice set of afrs . its a nitrous motor and im sure the heads would help .

so im going to pull them off that motor use the pushrods and ls7 lifters .

these heads have been milled 35thousants ill be fine with ptv on both the 224r or the 228r cm right ? im planing on using a regular gm mls head gasket .

wait could i re use a set of cometic head gaskets ? they have never been fired but have been torqued , i have gotten mixed comments about this .

and 01ssreda4 im interested in your cam only . let me knw !!

Quick Reply: 400whp a4 tsp 5.3 & 224-228r stock exhaust manifold ?
