Maybe purchasing this Cam.. Opinions
Current setup....
2000 Camaro Z28
6 Speed
29085 Miles
Free Mods
Gutted Cats
SLP Lid on the way
Sub-frame connectors and BMR Trak Pak
Cam Specs: Thunder Racing Custom "Reverse Split" Camshaft - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars . Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.
This would be my first big mod.. I know that I'm gonna need new springs and pushrods to go with this.
What do you guys think?

With a reverse split you need to have a great flowing exhaust. Otherwise, you will not get the numbers you should. If your going to keep your cats and your exhaust manifolds, run a conventional split. If you notice, chevy always runs an exagerated conventional split like the ZO6 cam. Even Lingenfelter runs a conventional split because his set ups are designed to be smog legal. I run a small split and I have heard great things about the split you are interested in but be sure to open up that exhaust. Good luck, bro.

I would start out with the bolt ons such as headers, cat back, pulley and then work on the internals. You should build a good base first IMO.
That is a great cam... I know alot of people running it.
